Vintage Backing Tracks' production is centred around the authenticity of live performances, just as we do on our recorded studio albums.

Captured with high-end microphones, valve mic amps and EQ. All tracks recorded with real drums, guitar amps and double bass. And all final masters are ran through analogue half inch tape.

but…Who are we?

Darrel Higham

Darrel Higham

Influenced by Elvis Presley and Eddie Cochran, Higham began his career as a lead guitarist in rockabilly bands at age 17. A few years later he fronted Eddie Cochran's original backing band, The Kelly Four. He later played lead guitar in the West End production of Elvis: The Musical, and by the mid-1990s he had formed his long standing band, Darrel Higham & The Enforcers.

In 2007, he recorded two albums and toured Europe with Stray Cats drummer Slim Jim Phantom. He has since played guitar for numerous artists such as Robert Plant, Jools Holland, Imelda May, Sharon Shannon, Shakin’ Stevens, Jeff Beck, Billy Lee Riley, Rocky Burnette, Bono, Paul McCartney and more.

Higham is currently endorsed by Gretsch guitars, TV Jones pick-ups, and Peavey amplifiers, for whom he helped design The Rockingham semi-acoustic guitar.

Graham Dominy

Multi-Platinum selling Mixer and Producer, Graham Dominy, started his career at The Church Studios in London, working closely with artists like Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) which propelled him to work at some of the UK's most well-respected recording studios, including Town House, Konk, Livingstone Studios, Sarm Studios, RAK, and the renowned Abbey Road Studios, gaining exposure to numerous projects across various genres, from Rock & Roll and Folk to Indie/Rock and Jazz.

By the late 2000s, he was asked to mix Imelda May's "Love Tattoo" album, and after its great success, he went on to engineer and record her second album, “Mayhem”. Following these projects he established a close partnership with Darrel at Embassy Studios and became their head engineer ever since.
